Beaches

In Roquetas del Mar, close to the Nautical Port is La Playa Aguadulce, a nearly 3 km long beach with white sand and a promenade. A quieter beach is San Miguel de Poniente, with 4700 metres.

In Almería is a Nudist beach, the Cueva del Cura, which you can reach by foot. The suited beaches for some water sport are La Garrofa (Diving) and El Bobar/La Cañada (Windsurf).

The Nature Park Cabo de Gata and the villages Nijar, Mojácar und Carboneras have wonderful beaches to offer. The beaches of Cabo de Gata have escaped construction boom because of their protected situation. The white beaches have shallow bays and are surrounded by dunes or rocky cliffs. The more accessible beaches normally have a parking area and are therefore more crowded. The more quiet beaches normally are accessible only by foot or sea.
