Buses and taxis are located outside Barcelona Sants station and the subway is inside and outside.
The subway station, (more info here) which can be accessed both from inside and outside the station, has two lines that stop at Barcelona Sants Station (Green Line, L3) and (Blue Line, L5). If you are staying for a few days in Barcelona, I suggest you to buy a rail card T-10. You and your guests can use it for ten trips, this way is cheaper to travel.
