Best beaches in Barcelona

We have selected here some of the best beaches of Barcelona and which are great if you want to spend a day at the sea enjoying the best the Costa Dorada has to offer.  

• Barceloneta beach
  Subway station: Barceloneta (Yellow line, L4)
  Turn right out of the subway and cross the main roads, continue walking right by 10 minutes. Barceloneta beach is the first of Barcelona, and therefore can be crowded pretty much during the summer months.
• Playa Icaria
  Subway station: “Ciutadella Vila Olímpica” (Yellow line, L4).
  Upon leaving the subway, turn right and walk towards the twin towers. A 10 minutes walk from the station.
• Playa Mar Bella (Playa Marbella) : (playa nudista)
  Subway station: “Poblenou” (Yellow Line, L4).
  It is a 20 minutes walk from the subway station of Poblenow to Bella beach. Although it is unofficially a nudist beach, many people come here who are no nudists. There are no official nudist beaches in Spain, just beaches where people choose to be nude.
  Tip: Take a map with you because there are no signs for the walk from Poblenow subway to Bella beach
• Playas de Sitges
  This beach is located outside of Barcelona city; you should take a train from Sants station.
