La Palma Hiking - Canary Islands

Not only is La Palma the epitome of a hiking paradise on account of its incredible variety of contrasting landscapes, but also on account of its closery-woven network of clearly signposted hiking paths.

A good 1.000 km of hiking trails have been singposted by the Island Goverment using painted marks, footpath signs and notice boards. The international norms of the ERA differentiate between Long-distance routes (GR), Short Routes (PR) and Local paths (SL).
