Novo Sancti Petri Beaches
The beaches of Chiclana “La Barrosa”
and Sancti Petri are situated 7kms away from the town center
and they are an important touristic and natural resorts. From
there we may contemplate the Island and Castle of Sancti Petri,
where , according to legend, was situated the Phoenician Temple
of Melkart 8Hercules).
La Barrosa beach has been granted the Blue Flag for Clean
Seas of Europe since this award was founded. Also in October
2002 this beach obtained the ambiental Certificate ISO 14001
for environment at management.
