Lanjaron Information

The district of Lanjaron is part of Sierra Nevada Natural Park, and is located on the southeastern slope of this range. It is well-known for the quality of its medicinal waters, with one of the best-valued spas in Spain, is close to Lecrin valley. The river Lanjaron, tributary of the river Guadalfeo, lies across the district.

Lanjaron has the main characteristics of the villages of the Alpujarra region- a singular architecture of the houses, perfectly adapted to the rugged ground and the climate of the area. They are built along narrow streets with a touch of their Moorish past.

It is the western gate of the Alpujarra region of Granada, a genuine area in the Iberian Peninsula, a natural step between the Mediterranean coast and Sierra Nevada range, where there are the highest peaks of Spain. Lanjaron is a place you must get to know.
