Granada trekking routes Quentar

Sierra Nevada. Güéjar- Sierra- Quéntar´s reservoir.

Time: Two hours.

We part from Güéjar- Sierra by the track which leads to Quéntar´s marsh. The track goes up until reaches a hill 1278 m. high from where we can glimpse the Sierra of Huétor. As we walk down, we must take a junction to the left in the road. Near we can see the town of Laguna Grande, covered with thick reedbed.

After reaching the town, we shall come back to the track. There is a cross- roads which we must take to the left. On the right, we see the Fuente ( fountain) del Tajo, and farther we shall arrive at Prado Montero´s farm- house. From here, taking a track ot the right, we arrive at a hill with three lanes. We walk on straight, contemplating the view of Quéntar town together with the whole valley.

The view of the marsh, with its recreational place and the Mediterranean forest sorruounding it, is of great beauty and harmony.
