Granada trekking routes Pampaneira

This route brings us near High Alpujarras area through an easy, entertaining walking tour. On the way there is a cliff where Capileira, Pampaneira and Bubión area situated.

These towns can be seen from any place in the valley. This shall be our starting point.

Due to the great number of orchards in the environs with many lanes, we can get lost, thus increasing the feeling of adventure of our walking tour.

Leaving Pampaneira northwards to the top of the valley, there is soon an irrigation channel, which we shall take after having crossed endless plantations. Then in a beautiful place, there is a brook which we must cross. Walking on along the irrigation channel we shall again just in front of Pampaneira town, on the other side.

Here we shall turn towards a steep slope. Salking on along any of the numerous lanes which run up the slope, we shall reach another irrigation channel, which we must take to the righttowards Bubión, from where, in order to walk down to the bottom of the valley, we shall take a very steep lane which leads to a labirynth of lanes where we must choose the way to Pampaneira, taking as a reference point the town itself seen from any place.
