Denia Sights
An 18th century castle sprawls across the hill overlooking the marina.
Centuries earlier, Jaime II enforced the 1304 separation between
the town below and the castle above by displacing all of Denia´s
inhabitants to the villa vella, or old town, beyond the castle walls

A tourist train chugs to the castle from the tourist office or you
can walk by way of the stairs next to the town hall.
Denia´s biggest attraction however is its 14km of pristine
beaches.
Windsurfers skip over the waves off Platja Els Molins while scuba
divers explore the depths off Las Platjas Area de Las Rotes.
Those who want a beach merely to sit and relax on have plenty of
options – among them, Platja Les Marines, Platja Les Bovetes
and Platja Punta Raset all close to the center of town, The tourist
office provides a pamphlet detailing the services available on each
beach as well as the trails available to hike in nearby Montgó
Natural Park (966 42 32 05)
