The gastronomy of Roquetas de Mar is characterised by its
offer of products from a fishing maritime area, highlighting
the quality of its fish, which contribute to the preparation
of dishes such as "fish soup" of Arab origin,
as well as the "arroz aparte" (side rice), unique
in the whole province.
" La Moraga" becomes a fiesta with ancestral tradition
of old groups of seamen who used to meet on the extensive
beaches and which has now turned into a social ludic act,
where families come from all over the province the 29th
of December to eat fish and meat around fires and barbacues.
Roquetas de Mar is considered the Market Garden of Europe,
due to its extra-early fruit and vegetables these products
are consumed in the town by preparing exquisite dishes such
as our grilled vegetables, among others.
