Teulada, Alicante

Teulada, an area with and old wine-growing tradition, is located in the region of Marina Alta, Alicante. Teulada's old quarter, in the inland of the province of Alicante, is surrounded by a green landscape planted with vineyards.Enclosed by a wall in the old times, the church of Santa Catalina stands out in the city centre. It is a good example of Gothic architecture of great beauty.

Teulada's main attraction is its coast, where we find Moraira. An important Costa Blanca tourist centre due to 8 km of beaches and coves, such as L'Ampolla, Portet, and Platgetes. L'Ampolla is characterized by a solid, large defence tower "the Castle of Moraira".

The natural port and picturesque littoral is the ideal place for water sports, such as scuba diving, sailing,etc. This region is also known for its sweet wines of excellent quality, specially the White Marina Alta and Muscatel.

If you would like to go to Teulada from Alicante airport, the best way to do this is to hire a car in Alicante. This is the fatest and most comfortable transportation method; however there are a few toll roads to Teulada from Alicante.
