Alicante is a compact city, so it is easy to go on foot to discover the city and the numerous monuments and attractions around; from the Cathedral, the church of Santa María, the town hall...however the most important sight in Alicante is the Castle of Santa Barbara looking out over the city from the Mount of Benacantil.

Alicante beaches are an important tourist attraction; Costa Blanca beaches are known because of their sand and water quality, probably it will be one of the things of Alicante you will miss when leaving the city, even more if you live in a cold country.

Culture is very present and rich with many museums in Alicante to visit when going for holidays in Alicante. Archaeological museums show us the history of the city as well as the historical museums located in the city. There is evidence of Roman presence in the city.
