The modern port of aguilas is a starting point for discovering
a vast underwater world that extends from El Peñón
de La Cueva de Los Lobos to Punta Parda.
Overlooked by majestic cliffs and beautiful beaches, it
has plenty of diving areas that can be enjoyed without having
to worry about bad weather spoiling the occasion; the coastal
formations, with protection from the crags and mountains
of Sierra del Cantar, make diving possible all year round,
blocking the passage of the feared East and North Winds.
The West Wind hardly reaches this area. Only the south-east
wind affects these waters. However, there are always secluded
spots to be found. This is the great difference with respect
to other places in the Peninsula.
